Our Mission & Leadership
Vital Works exists to solve a problem hiding in plain sight:
High performance cannot be sustained when the biology of stress is ignored.
Our mission is to bring Stress Mastery Academy to anyone operating under pressure, restoring the capacity for clarity, resilience, and sustained performance, without the cost of chronic stress.
Dr. Tami Berry, MD – Founder & CEO
Dr. Tami Berry is a former surgeon and expert in stress physiology and nervous system regulation who founded Vital Works to address a growing challenge in healthcare: the widening gap between the demands placed on clinicians and the biological capacity required to meet them.
During her years in surgical practice, Dr. Berry saw firsthand how sustained exposure to high-stakes decision environments affects the nervous system, often leaving even the most skilled clinicians operating in a state of physiological depletion. Determined to understand the biological mechanisms behind this pattern, she undertook an extensive study of neuroscience, autonomic nervous system regulation, and the physiology of stress.
Her work revealed a critical insight: the issue is not simply the presence of stress, but whether the nervous system has the capacity to remain regulated and fully resourced in the face of it.
This discovery led her to develop Stress Mastery Academy, a science-driven system designed to train the nervous system to remain regulated and fully resourced under pressure. By integrating neuroscience, biometric feedback, and practical nervous system regulation techniques, the program restores the physiological foundation required for sustainable performance in healthcare.
Lindsey V., SPHR
Lindsey is the Chief Impact Officer of Vital Works, where she leads the operational strategy to bring Stress Mastery Academy to healthcare professionals and healthcare systems. Over the past twenty years, she has built and led teams across technology and AI-driven health tech organizations operating in some of the highest-pressure performance environments, giving her a firsthand view into the demands placed on clinicians and the systems that support them. Her experience includes leadership roles at leading coaching and human performance platforms, where she worked closely with organizations focused on developing resilient, high-performing leaders.
Lindsey holds a business degree and a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) certification focused on organizational strategy and workforce design. Her work focuses on the systems that shape human resilience and performance at scale.
She is deeply committed to expanding access to Stress Mastery Academy so both healthcare organizations and individual clinicians can benefit from tools that restore nervous system balance, clarity under pressure, and professional agency.
